This is not about clocks. No clock PCBs are available. Not sure when there will be.

It is only about a PCB that has PMI100/AD1862 and an I-V stage, on one PCB. The clock will be on that PCB. No external clock!

Is this clear now?

Jocko

Well then I want such a PCB.

I decided to split this thread, as it has caused some confusion.

If there already is a package to Italy, it might be simpler to put just more pieces into it..
I would like to join Andrea, would sign up for one, me too!

Maybe I should point a few more things out...........

This PCB won't be small. It is being designed to fit into a Hammond enclosure (no, don't ask why):

http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Hammond/1455T2201/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsrGrAVj6eTvbcrKmFc6YDN0eCTk%2fiD2ZA%3d

So, it will be 160 mm x 220 mm.

It only works on 11.2896 MHz. It only takes I2S input. I guess if you want to run it on left-justified, you can leave a bunch of parts off, and jumper over all of that section. Yes, the clock can run at 16.whatever, but I have no intention of testing it on that frequency. You would need to supply your own crystal, and tweak some parts to make sure that it is on frequency. Like I said............designed for old Philips machines.

Will probably cost $50-75. Today's guess.

Will only make 5 or so. If it works, and there are no mistakes (at one time, I would have promised no mistakes, but not any longer!), then I can order more.

Gotta get back to working on it.

Jocko

A CD80 will do nicely, it's big enough :) . Can be a guinea pig if you want. Have experience with connecting pmd100 into philips gear. price is ok (for me).

About the pmd100, is it setup in hardware mode? If you need software mode i could help out (done that). It's possible to include a small controller with minimal stuff around it (clocked on i2s clock, connected to RC5 bus of player).

Fine, I have a Grundig player where it will fit.
Now let me think about where to make the hole for the HDCD led... :write:
