A little off topic for this thread - if that is even possible.

I've noticed over the past month or two that posts on some other forums, as well as this one to a lesser degree, have become more obtuse and confrontational than I can ever remember.

Is this due to the economy? Cold weather in the northern hemisphere (although that doesn't explain the cranky guys from down under)? No new Hanna Montana album releases? What?
