It seems that Class D amps suffer from a low input impedance (at least the ICEPOWER modules I have do, typically around 8k).

Any actual experience of good input buffers? I thought of BUF634, AD815 or a discrete JFET based unit...

If you can and want to avoid input caps the JFETs are the way to go. Otherwise, bipolars can do better, both discrete and monolithic ones. I never tried AD815 but opamp buffers never worked the best for me.
