Nothing to be gained in stacking these very nice DACs. They're robust mutibit (almost) chips with decent enough current output to drive even some good passive I/V designs, and certainly the best active ones. Many of us feel they're the best-sounding chips ever made. Stacking would only add distortion and lessen the excellent audio experience.

At easy-audio-kit about halfway down is a kit called DAC8D SUPER that uses 4 per channel. The pdf has pcbs and schematics but the text is in japanese :(

The Accuphase DC-91 used something like 16 PCM1702s per channel, the brochure is here.

Hope this helps

Regards
James
