I've been contacted by somebody who would like to register for this forum but cannot get past the security questions. I appreciate that spambots are a constant threat to any forum but do the questions have to be so obscure?

How can this guy gt on here?

Try other browser. Firefox has often bad habit of logging out while going to next stage/page! Very irritating.

Because Elso suggested trying an alternative browser.

Well his answer to 1R || 1R was 0R5 and to 1mF || 200uF was 1200 uF. Was that incorrect?

Sorry Elso but that doesn't seem so much about electronics knowledge as semantics. Isn't 1200 uF the same as 1.2 mF? You may as well say that people need an electronics degree to register for the site in addition to being slightly clairvoyant as regards how they should express the answer. :finga:

I sent an email to roiibm last night, and await a reply.

The problem was the space between the value and the type of the values.
So, instead of for instance 1,0 uF write it 1,0uF and it should work.

Anyway, I updated the accepted answers, to help the wanna be members.

Please note, this board is not for those who don't know squat about electronics, and keeping the board spam free is of utmost importance.
