I was going to post this earlier but I'm still in shock.
I've spent my youth compulsively listening to everything by The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, John Cale...

R.I.P. Lou Reed. :cray:

Just posted elsewhere:

A Perfect Day - Lou Reed (Mar 1942-Oct 2013)

Lewis Allan "Lou" Reed was an American rock musician. Nothing was off bounds, as he wrote about drugs sex and rock 'n roll and a whole lot more in between that is probably not printable.

What endeared him above all to his legion of fans was his personal journey etched in every line of his lyrics, album after album - that we could all related to.

Lou Reed influenced a great many exceptional Musicians and released much material. Now we hear he has passed out of this plane of existence, or at least his friends took the liberty to announce his funeral.

But Lou is not not gone, he is just a press of key away. So, listen to some Lou Reed today, toast him with a drop of your favourite tipple. For remember, it's just a perfect day.

Love Lou Reed, and definitely RIP.

"Set the Twilight Reeling" is a pretty god awful album made with a drum machine, but it had this gem on it:
