Hey everyone
I actually just finished building my home surround sound in my living room :D
Im so proud of myself, i actually cant believe i built it... well you know after a year it was about time
So now every time i watch a great bond movie, im extra proud of myself..
But now my daughter wants ipod speakers for her room, and she told "Daddy can you PLEASE not build them...Id like to have them soon, and not in a year..thanks"
so she sent me a picture of ipod speakers that apparently a famous designer drew them...
Image
What do you think about them?
I found a good website that has a big range of speakers http://www.twenga.com/ (and at interesting prices) but the thing is I want only the best for my baby girl, and I want something that is very good, so she wont ask me in a year for new speakers...
I hope someone can help me!!
Have a nice day everyone:!

Gently explain to your daughter that you don't want crapware at home and if she wants her ears well treated with something resembling hi-fi sound out of an ipod (!), good headphones is the way to go.
The other option being, wait for you to build some active speakers. :D

Search for active speakers in the studio world, there are small active monitors that are not very expensive, Genelec and others.
You don't just put the ipod on top of them, but you can connect a signal cable to them.

How's her taste in music? If she has a collection of music that's worthy of a good speaker system, I'd get her a half decent set of bookshelf speakers and a small amplifier (all-inclusive Gainclone kit, perhaps?) that she can plug her ipod into. Or active monitors as Carlos suggested.

If she's listening to Justin Beiber, well, get her a $20 walmart ipod dock - but offer to buy the good system if her taste in music improves :D
